The Role:

WorkStep is looking for a creative, organized, and forward-thinking Director of Demand Generation Marketing to join the growing marketing team. Reporting directly to the VP of Marketing, you will be responsible for creating, developing, and executing the go-to-market strategy with a deep understanding of WorkStep’s core audiences, WorkStep’s solutions, and showing the value of WorkStep in their organization.

The Director of Demand Generation Marketing you will develop and implement campaign strategies, engagement plans and content for brand awareness and lead generation campaigns.

We’re looking for a proven leader who thrives working cross-functionally, with multiple teams finding new ways to reach our audience and tell our great story.

The preferred candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in developing market campaigns across various industries and senior-level personas.

You love working in a team environment, you’re organized, self-motivated, have the ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and have strong attention to detail. You will be focused on results and achieving conversion rates along with the rest of the marketing team (MQL to SQL to closed-won) and you are an amazing storyteller.


  • Strong background in B2B SaaS marketing with experience reaching executive-level personas
  • Experience working in demand generation for a high-growth, technology company
  • Experience building, managing and reporting on cross-platform and industry-specific campaigns
  • Proven track record of account-based campaign design and execution
  • Ability to build strong relationships with account executives, SDRs and sales leadership
  • Strong sense of accountability owning successes and failures


  • Lead and deliver on strategic awareness and lead generation campaigns across multiple channels
  • Define campaign objectives, target audiences, segment leads, and create the marketing assets required for campaign execution
  • Nurture prospects and ensure that marketing leads are converted to sales opportunities
  • Manage campaign budgets, timeline, ROI, and data-driven improvements through optimization
  • Collaborate with cross-functional team members to orchestrate online and offline marketing campaigns
  • Manage multiple work streams, varying timelines, and a variety of inputs from stakeholders
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills and ability to articulate details of programs, processes, and plans to various audiences
  • Build and develop a lean team of high-performing marketers who meet and exceed targets


  • At least 5 years of experience in demand generation and marketing campaign creation and execution
  • At least 2 years of experience managing a team
  • Marketing to enterprise and mid-market accounts
  • ABM expertise and experience
  • Extensive knowledge of marketing automation tools
