As a key member of our top-notch and fast-paced engineering team, we are looking for a Business Intelligence (BI) Engineer who will be designing insightful analytical dashboards and reports on ProducePay’s vast and diverse data set and delivering them to key stakeholders, top management, and our customers. You will be working with various functional teams and help translate business needs into requirements and identify efficiency opportunities. In addition to querying and visualizing data, you will have the opportunity to use your expertise to discover and recommend novel data relationships, as well as partner with data engineers for performance enhancements. You will also be interacting with architects and data engineers whenever data schemas need redesigning to accommodate new reporting requirements.


Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and manage dashboards and reports to support products and company
  • Design and implement SDLC and testing methodologies for analytics deliverables
  • Identify trends and growth opportunities through analysis of complex data sets
  • Identify data to integrate from various back-end services and databases
  • Provide quality assurance of imported data
  • Identify opportunities to improve data, products, and business processes
  • Evaluate data flows for efficiency, problems, and inaccuracies
  • Filter and clean data by reviewing reports and performance indicators to identify and correct code issues
  • Troubleshoot data inconsistencies and integrity
  • Provide recommendations for continuous improvement

Requirements

  • At least a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related fields
  • Strong knowledge and experience with SQL
  • Knowledge of Tableau; other BI tools knowledge a plus
  • Experience with Snowflake and Postgres integration a plus
  • Prior work experience as a data analyst or in a related field
  • Ability to identify trends and patterns in complex data sets
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Highly organized with good time management skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Familiar with AWS cloud infrastructure
  • Top-notch analytic skills, including data mining, evaluation, analysis, and visualization
  • Exceptional problem-solving ability
  • Ability to succeed in a collaborative work environment and work cross-functionally
