Lead Front End Engineer

- Join the founding product/engineering team of an exciting new data/no-code startup, with funding in place, and validated customer demand.
- Write the first lines of front end code and set the tone for how the team approaches user-facing software development.
- Build the front end of our SaaS application and provide a rich, no-code UI for users to work with their financial data in the browser.
- Collaborate with a high-performing, experienced team who've founded, built and exited startups. You'd be a valued peer alongside design, product, engineering and data science team members.
- Translate an ambitious product vision into working software in a high-growth, early-stage environment.
- Prototype potential approaches for how features could be implemented, and rapidly iterate based on user feedback.
- Build out a design system and component library that enables your engineering teammates to move quickly and with confidence.
- Contribute to code initially, with the ambition to grow as a team leader as the company expands, should you want to move in that direction.
Requirements
- Hands-on experience as a technical leader in Front-End development of a client-facing data product.
- Experience in building complex interfaces.
- Consolidated experience with React and Typescript.
- Comfortable using Next.js.
- Experience or interest in tRPC, Supabase, Clerk and Postgres.
- Excellent HTML5, CSS3 and SASS knowledge.
- Experience with REST APIs.
- Understand styled components (we use Figma, Design Tokens and Styled Dictionary).
- Experience in testing and debugging.
- Clear communication (in English) and ability to work well with others in a distributed team.

Benefits
- Salary: Up to £130k p.a. + option package
