Business Operations Intern

At Bezos, we are building a next generation Fulfilment-as-a-Service platform for SME online sellers, connecting them with fulfilment and logistics providers to enable a range of fulfilment and delivery options. Bezos.ai enables SME sellers to compete with large retailers and marketplaces by providing fast and reliable fulfilment and delivery solutions.

We are looking for someone who gets excited about the adventure of a startup, wants to take ownership and learn how to build a world class business. As a Business Operations Intern you are part of our operations team that ensures all orders from our sellers are delivered perfectly (picked on time, dispatched on time, delivered on time).

Job function:

• Assist in the day to day interaction with our customers and logistics partners, responding to tickets and solving problems.
• Assist in the invoicing of our services to customers.
• Assist in the day to day running of the Bezos operations
• Identify the issues that our customers have with their orders, identify the root cause for them, propose and implement solutions
• Participate in (and in some cases, lead) projects to improve and expand our services
• Support other members of the team as needed

Application process:

1. We like to get to know you and your motivations in a 30 min chat with the Bezos Ops team
2. If we both agree that there is a fit, we would like to get to know the way you work and communicate. For this, we will send you an analytical data exercise (2-3h) to prepare before the next call.
3. In this 30 min call with our Ops team and our founder, we will ask you to present your answers and recommendations to us.
4. If you are successful we will make you an offer.

Requirements

• Full time role, minimum 3 months
• Based in the UK: the role is fully remote (work from home) but with occasional trips within the UK to meet with team (2x per month) and with logistics partners
• Ability to understand new concepts rapidly and react in a high-energy, fast-paced startup environment
• Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills
• Excellent interpersonal skills and a can-do, never-give-up attitude
• Highly organised, ability to complete a high volume of tasks and projects with tight deadlines
• Analytical, using data to explore problems, identify opportunities and assess benefits and impacts. Good understanding of spreadsheets is a must, knowledge of SQL is a benefit.
